SentinelOne Amplifies AI Security Coverage to Claude Cowork

Claude Cowork

SentinelOne announced a new integration with Anthropic’s Claude Cowork today. This update extends runtime protection to one of the most widely adopted agentic work applications. The integration expands SentinelOne’s growing enterprise portfolio. It reinforces the company’s mission to safeguard surfaces where AI workloads run.

Addressing Blind Spots Across Enterprise AI Deployments

Employees increasingly direct AI agents to perform complex daily tasks. Consequently, these digital environments expand the enterprise attack surface significantly. Most traditional security software inspects endpoints, cloud workloads, and enterprise applications. However, tools like Claude Cowork perform agentic tasks outside normal device visibility.

SentinelOne addresses this potential security blind spot directly. The new connection complements existing Endpoint Detection and Response tools. It also works alongside Cloud Workload Security offerings. Furthermore, it enhances the newly launched Singularity Agentic Detection and Response platform.

Deploying Native Security Inside Virtual Machine Environments

Claude Cowork operates directly within a virtual machine on user devices. To secure this space, SentinelOne installs runtime defense capabilities straight into that virtual environment. Therefore, security analysts can monitor agent actions in real time. Teams receive instant alerts whenever suspicious behaviors occur. Moreover, the platform autonomously stops attacks before damage occurs.

“Our integration strategy across the AI ecosystem is simple: secure AI work where it happens. Claude Cowork is one of the most popular AI applications on the market, used by millions of workers around the world, so it is exactly where defenders need to be,” said Melissa K. Smith, SVP, Global Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives, at SentinelOne. “With this integration, security teams can say yes to the way their people want to work with AI, with the confidence that SentinelOne is covering that work.”

Core Capabilities and OS Platform Support

The integration runs a SentinelOne agent directly inside the virtual environment. This active presence eliminates dangerous operational blind spots for enterprise defenders. Additionally, the system leverages SentinelOne’s signature Behavioral AI engine. Security teams can track agentic movement and quickly identify agent drift.

In addition, this solution enables Claude Cowork on macOS and Windows platforms. The IT administration team has complete control over operations through device management. Therefore, companies have complete control over deployment timing and location.

SentinelOne constantly improves defenses in support of enterprise workflow in the modern age. By including protections within the virtual machine environment, companies can use AI safely.
