Veeam is moving forward with AI governance through new agentic AI features on its DataAI Command Platform. This pushes for better operational privacy and compliance on a bigger scale. Thus, companies can manage AI systems better.
The fresh AI Governance system includes three AI agents that automate privacy and compliance tasks. These agents also help with constant monitoring and policy enforcement based on evidence. This method makes old manual processes obsolete.
“For ten years, privacy professionals have been quietly admitting they cannot fully prove compliance with their own policies,” said Cassandra Maldini, Head of Product Strategy for Privacy and AI Governance at Veeam. “Now they’re being asked to do the same for AI, at a pace no manual program can keep up with. Compliance is no longer a point-in-time exercise. It has to be continuous, evidence-based, and built directly into how organizations operate.”
Automating Compliance and Strengthening AI Oversight
Today, companies face strict rules like the GDPR and the EU AI Act. To tackle these, Veeam focuses on real-time governance for its data and AI operations. They keep policies consistent, too. Veeam’s Consent Agent handles consent issues, really emphasizing user choice. The Data Subject Request Agent simplifies compliance, eliminating mundane tasks. There’s also the Assessment Agent, which automates tedious regulatory checks, making life so much easier.
These capabilities work through the DataAI Command Platform, unifying security, governance, and compliance. Because of this, orgs get improved visibility and control over data. In turn, Veeam keeps expanding AI governance capabilities across enterprise ecosystems. Hence, companies can meet regulatory needs while safely speeding up AI use.
“The way we think about privacy and AI governance has to be fundamentally different now,” said Michael Dolan, Vice President, Chief Privacy Officer at Best Buy. “Static policies and quarterly reviews were built for a world where data moved slowly, and AI didn’t make decisions. That world is gone.”
