Cloud Security Alliance Accelerates Frontier AI Leadership with New Research and Community Partnerships

CSA has officially announced two major strategic partnerships today. These agreements aim to accelerate industry collaboration and advance the adoption of trusted artificial intelligence worldwide. The growth is indicative of increasing momentum in the area of AI leadership in both academic and business communities.

Through this new agreement, the UNLV Nevada Institute of Cybersecurity (UNLV NIC) becomes an academic partner of the CSAI Foundation. On the other hand, the RSA Conference will work with the Center for Security and AI (CSAI) to organize the AI Vulnerability Storm Summit.

Together, these alliances strengthen CSA’s commitment to connecting top researchers with field practitioners. The unified effort addresses urgent security, governance, and organizational resilience challenges in modern computing.

Bridging Academic Research and Industry Execution

Researchers from UNLV will collaborate directly on joint educational programs and thought leadership initiatives. This strategic work supports the development of the AI Resilience Center of Excellence. Additionally, the partnership finances the Catastrophic Risk Annex research program underwritten by Coefficient Giving.

The project also funds executive education designed for building modern cybersecurity frameworks. Furthermore, it expands the UNLV NIC Cyber Clinic to offer local technical assistance. Through these projects, UNLV NIC reinforces local AI Leadership while addressing complex governance hurdles.

Empowering Local Cybersecurity Communities

RSAC brings extensive experience to the AI Vulnerability Storm Summit initiative. This strategic program enables CSA chapters to host localized summits tailored to community needs. Participating groups will receive facilitator toolkits, structured guidance, and starter resources to run successful events.

The program bridges gaps between business executives, policymakers, technology vendors, and security engineers. Consequently, local leaders can demonstrate AI Leadership by discussing emerging threats and best practices. Organizer teams will anonymize all summit findings and feed them back into central industry research.
