Accenture Expands Cloud Security Support with Google Cloud Collaboration

Accenture

Accenture has expanded its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to enable organizations to address the rising AI-driven cyber threats. These range from sophisticated social engineering attacks with a personal touch to autonomous malware attacks. The partnership between Accenture and Google Cloud brings together the Google Security Operations platform with Accenture’s global cybersecurity services. It aims at providing unified intelligence-led security operations to help organizations address these rising threats.

Today, cybercriminals have access to sophisticated artificial intelligence tools. These tools help them evade traditional security systems. On the other hand, multi-cloud environments have led to visibility gaps and security blind spots. These blind spots are no longer minor technical problems. Instead, they have become serious business risks. This collaboration, therefore, connects human cybersecurity expertise with powerful cloud-native security technologies. As a result, organizations can transition from reactive cyber defense to proactive digital resilience.

“Agentic AI isn’t just reshaping cyber defense strategies, it’s redefining how we secure operations, introducing new levels of complexity for organizations protecting their businesses,” said Rex Thexton, chief technology officer at Accenture Cybersecurity. “Combining the collective strengths of Google Cloud and Wiz with Accenture’s cybersecurity expertise, we are uniquely positioned to help organizations eliminate security blind spots and efficiently secure their cloud-powered digital core against the next generation of automated threats.”

Strengthening Enterprise Security Operations

Organizations can use the Google Security Operations platform along with the Accenture Cybersecurity AI Migration Factory. This will allow the enterprise to simplify the complexities of migrating its SIEM solutions while improving its threat detection and response capabilities considerably.  The solutions provided will enhance the security of the environments that the enterprise uses for its development, deployment, and runtime environments. This will allow the enterprise to have a seamless and well-governed state of its cybersecurity within its environments.

Accenture’s internal Information Security team also uses the Wiz platform within its global cloud infrastructure. This will allow them to quickly identify and remediate risks within their environments.  This initiative aligns with Accenture’s goal of responsible artificial intelligence adoption and cloud security governance.

“Our partnership with Accenture further strengthens our ability to deliver cloud security offerings and provide customers with a comprehensive solution,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem at Google Cloud. “Together, we’re bringing the best in technology and services to help organizations of all sizes protect themselves from cyber threats.”

Andy Ritchie, VP Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Wiz said, “Wiz helps customers protect everything they build and run, giving teams the visibility and context they need to adopt new technologies and move faster with confidence. We’re excited to work with Accenture to help more customers innovate at the speed of their business while staying secure at every stage of their cloud journey.”
