The expanded collaboration includes integration between the digital asset platform developed by Fireblocks and Thales Luna Hardware Security Modules. The integration enables the utilization of existing certified hardware for the execution of digital asset services. Any institution will utilize security frameworks that have been established, without any changes to the existing processes in custody, trading, tokenization, and settlement services. The integration is in compliance with the existing security frameworks and governance requirements. Organizations interact with cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, security tokens, and real-world assets across multiple blockchains.
Policy Control and Key Ownership
Fireblocks provides institutions with policy control and transaction authorization. Fireblocks KeyLink ensures private keys and key shares remain inside customer-owned HSMs. Institutions conduct all cryptographic operations within controlled infrastructure environments. The platform supports hot, warm, and cold storage models for institutional asset management. Institutions retain ownership, visibility, and compliance across all digital asset operations.
Executive Statements
Todd Moore, Vice President, Data Security Products at Thales, said:
“As digital assets reshape global finance, adoption will depend on a proven foundation of trust. Thales provides that foundation with Luna HSMs, protecting and controlling the cryptographic keys that underpin ownership and transaction authority. Combined with Fireblocks, we help institutions reduce key-exposure risk, strengthen governance, and move digital value with confidence across high-value digital ecosystems at scale.”
