Quectel Introduces SE200ZC-AP Smart Module Bringing AI-Powered Vision to Security, Industrial, and Smart Home Devices

SE200ZC-AP

Quectel Wireless Solutions has officially introduced the SE200ZC-AP smart module to simplify hardware development. This new hardware release allows camera and vision equipment makers to have an easier time rolling out AI cameras and vision systems. By using the SE200ZC-AP, developers will no longer need to bear the expense of creating their own custom hardware. Also, the small 40 x 40 mm form factor module uses the Rockchip RV1126B/RV1126BJ SoC platform, which features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU and a 3 TOPS NPU. Additionally, the SE200ZC-AP incorporates a 12-megapixel HDR image signal processor and an 8-megapixel AI-ISP. Consequently, this hardware architecture delivers edge computing capabilities directly to connected devices.

“With SE200ZC-AP, we’re giving our customers a single, ready-to-deploy platform that combines vision, AI, and connectivity so they can focus on their application instead of reinventing the hardware underneath it,” said Zeljko Maric, Product Development Manager, Smart Modules, Quectel Wireless Solutions.

Advanced Video Processing and Rugged Industrial Integration Capabilities

Meanwhile, end users benefit from enhanced HDR video capture and low-latency on-device processing. The SE200ZC-AP supports 4K video encoding at 45 fps and 30 fps decoding effortlessly. In addition to this, it is able to handle multiple video feeds simultaneously without compromising on real-time performance. The hardware platform itself comes with an operating system based on Linux/Debian. As such, programmers have the ability to incorporate wireless communication capabilities such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular modem, and GPS modules.

Also, the SE200ZC-AP supports a variety of interfaces. It includes Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, dual CAN FD ports, and support for up to five cameras. As a result, engineers can deploy the same SE200ZC-AP unit in home security systems or factory-floor monitoring tools. Quectel offers the SE200ZC-AP in both commercial and rugged industrial grades. The industrial model operates continuously in harsh temperatures ranging from -35°C to 80°C. Finally, the module will soon be available worldwide for testing and sampling by customers.

Streamlined Edge Computing Platform for Smart Devices

Moreover, running locally on the SE200ZC-AP provides protection of user data from any cloud dependency. Local processing minimizes latency in data transmission for real-time monitoring applications. In turn, the module saves power using an innovative AOV video capturing technology that helps devices to stay in standby mode for a long time while keeping threat monitoring capabilities.

Also, hardware designers easily integrate the module into their designs thanks to its small size and surface-mount package. The integrated memory architecture handles deep learning vision algorithms without needing external storage chips. Consequently, system developers significantly reduce total bill-of-materials costs across commercial production runs.

Finally, the SE200ZC-AP bridges local computer vision with broad wireless connectivity options. System integrators combine video analytics, local machine intelligence, and remote cellular transmission into one unified module. As a result, global equipment manufacturers accelerate time-to-market for next-generation smart terminals.
