Protecht Group, an Australian global leader in governance, risk and compliance solutions, announced its acquisition of VISO TRUST. VISO TRUST operates as a US-based platform focused on AI-powered third-party risk management.
Protecht advances its global expansion strategy through this acquisition. The company strengthens its position in a rapidly growing risk management market. Industry forecasts expect this market to reach US$41.7 billion by 2034. Protecht integrates VISO TRUST’s agentic AI capabilities into its platform. This integration directly addresses key challenges faced by enterprise risk teams. Organisations now demand scalable and intelligent risk management solutions.
Addressing Enterprise Risk and Driving Innovation
Enterprise organisations continue expanding third-party networks at a rapid pace. However, many organisations struggle to manage growing vendor-related risks effectively. Reports show that 83% plan to expand these networks within three years.
Only 18% have fully integrated vendor risk management into enterprise frameworks.
This gap exposes organisations to increasing cyber threats from external partners. Risk teams often rely on outdated and fragmented manual processes.
Jason Phillips, CEO of Protecht, said: “The challenge isn’t just the growth in third-party risk, it’s that most organisations are still trying to manage it with fragmented, manual approaches that don’t scale.
“VISO TRUST’s agentic third-party risk capabilities naturally complement and enhance Protecht’s existing risk management platform to help customers confidently manage risk across their entire enterprise and vendor ecosystems.”
The unified platform delivers AI-powered vendor risk assessments for faster onboarding. It also automates GRC workflows using AI agents to reduce manual effort. Teams benefit from continuous monitoring across complex vendor ecosystems. The platform enhances analytics and delivers insights for board-level reporting. It helps organisations stay ahead of cyber threats without increasing headcount.
Paul Valente, Co-founder and Chief Customer Officer of VISO TRUST, added: “Enterprise organisations are expanding their third-party vendor networks while facing more sophisticated cyber threats through those same relationships. Yet, most are still managing that risk manually, and that gap is exactly the problem VISO TRUST was built to address.
“Joining Protecht means we can meet that demand at scale, combining our AI and agent capabilities with a world-class GRC platform, to deliver something genuinely differentiated in the market and for our customers.”
Paul Valente and Russ Sherman will continue in their existing leadership roles. Protecht secured a US$280 million investment from PSG Equity last year. The company continues accelerating its global growth and expansion strategy.
