Prosegur Cybersecurity Appoints William “Bill” Phillips President of North American Operations

North American Operation

Specialized industry leader Prosegur Cybersecurity announced a major expansion update today. The enterprise division named security expert William “Bill” Phillips as president of its North American operations. Phillips assumed the elite leadership role in June 2026. He will directly pilot the division’s aggressive U.S. corporate growth strategy.

Phillips brings over 25 years of technical leadership experience to this crucial assignment. Notably, the U.S. Marine Corps veteran discovered his passion for information technology during seven years of military service. He later optimized tactical infrastructure for Marine Corps Combat Operations Centers at General Dynamics. Furthermore, he directed global network operations and technology acquisition strategies at Matthews International. Most recently, Phillips managed the specialized infrastructure segment at Vector Security for seven continuous years. His division delivered advanced managed services, serving premium retail clients and diverse enterprise verticals.

“We address physical, digital and cybersecurity within a single, integrated solution,” Phillips said. “Organizations today face threats that don’t respect those boundaries, and we’re built to respond to them the way they actually happen.”

Enterprise Alignment and Digital Capabilities

The dynamic leadership transition follows an extensive corporate rebranding strategy. The security division changed its name from Cipher to Prosegur Cybersecurity earlier this year. This calculated move formalizes its strategic market alignment with parent enterprise Prosegur. The international security giant generates approximately $6 billion in annual revenue. Additionally, the corporate parent actively manages security services across more than 30 nations. Cipher’s separate regional platforms outside the current North American operations will not experience any structural changes.

Under the leadership of Phillips, the subsidiary continues to expand with a fully domestic workforce. This localized team includes their state-of-the-art domestic Security Operations Center. The facility regularly delivers managed detection, real-time response, and elite threat defense. They also provide comprehensive governance, proactive risk assessment, and corporate compliance services.

Currently, their technical systems monitor more than one billion security events every day. The company effectively protects over two million enterprise users worldwide. Moreover, engineers successfully defend hundreds of thousands of digital security assets globally.

“We’re actively growing our North American team and expanding coverage to meet a threat landscape that’s moving faster than most security programs can keep up with,” Phillips said. “Clients should expect to see continued investment here throughout the year.”

This critical executive hire coincides with Prosegur’s historic 50th anniversary celebration. Corporate clients can meet Phillips and his technical team at the upcoming GSX 2026 conference this September. The enterprise will display its advanced capabilities at booth 2705. This showcase marks a major milestone for the expanded North American operations.
