Today, Proofpoint announced the closing of its acquisition of Hornetsecurity, a leading European provider of AI-based Microsoft 365 security. The deal enhances Proofpoint’s global cybersecurity footprint with better coverage of MSPs and SMBs.
Per the agreement, Hornetsecurity will continue to operate as an independent unit within Proofpoint. The existing Hornetsecurity management team, including the founder, will remain responsible for product development and partner success.
Hornetsecurity’s flagship offering, 365 Total Protection, is a feature-rich cloud security platform for M365. It delivers a wide range of services, such as advanced email security, backup, compliance, security awareness training, and access control. MSPs are now able to protect the customers from a single multi-tenant dashboard the trouble of using several separate dashboards.
