At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei launched the Xinghe AI Full Scope Security Campus Solution to revolutionize campus network security. Huawei has announced the availability of the first commercial release of AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP. This launch is a milestone in wireless reliability, performance, and enhanced mobile user experience.
Strengthening Multi-Layer Campus Security
Shawn Zhao delivered a keynote outlining Huawei’s AI-driven campus security strategy and long-term innovation vision.
Shawn Zhao, President of the Campus Network Domain, Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, said, “In the AI era, campus networks have moved beyond connectivity and become the secure hub connecting digital and physical worlds. Huawei’s Xinghe AI Full-Scope Security Campus Solution meets this by offering asset, connectivity, spatial, and privacy security.”
Huawei improves asset security through clustering identification technology that can identify dumb terminals with 95% accuracy. The device uses anomaly detection technology coupled with local switch inference to prevent attacks in real time. For connectivity security, Huawei uses Wi-Fi Shield to prevent data eavesdropping at the physical level. It uses end-to-end MACsec and Post-Quantum Cryptography to prevent security risks in data transmission in the long term. The solution strengthens spatial security using a single wireless AP for rapid unauthorized activity detection. Meanwhile, Huawei’s iGuard AP detects hidden cameras to protect privacy in sensitive private spaces.
Advanced Wireless and Switching Innovation
Huawei has introduced advanced campus network solutions that provide secure and high-performance digital infrastructure environments. Huawei has installed iCSSR technology in the AirEngine Pre Wi-Fi 8 AP to reduce interference. This has introduced the Smart Beamforming technology to sense movement and prevent speed loss. Huawei has deployed the ASFN technology to virtualize multiple APs through a super AP to perform zero roaming. Huawei has achieved zero access failure through the CloudEngine twin switches using the multi-switching matrix. These twin switches provide sub-second and zero-downtime upgrades for network services.
