Elastic Security Secures Industry’s Only 100% Malware Protection Score in AV-Comparatives 2026 Business Security Test

Business Security Test

Independent evaluators just crowned a new king of enterprise digital defense. Elastic, the Search AI Company, announced a milestone achievement today for its signature security platform. Elastic Security earned the only perfect 100% malware protection score among 16 major vendors in the definitive AV-Comparatives 2026 Business Security Test.

This comprehensive industry evaluation covered the critical March–June 2026 test period. In addition to the perfect score, Elastic Security tied for the highest ranking in the Real-World Protection Test. The platform achieved a 99.8% protection rate and secured the coveted AV-Comparatives Approved Business Product Award.

Experts recognize the AV-Comparatives Business Security Test as one of the most brutal evaluations in cybersecurity. Testing teams ran the protocols on fully patched Windows 11 systems across two severe testing disciplines. The Malware Protection Test simulated on-disk and local network threats using 1,000 recent malware samples. Meanwhile, the Real-World Protection Test replicated active web threats like malicious URLs and drive-by exploits across 400 test cases over four continuous months. These methods test whether modern enterprise security tools can stop aggressive threats without burying internal IT teams in false alerts.

Flawless Accuracy and Architecture

Elastic Security blocked all 1,000 malware samples during the evaluation. No other enterprise security vendor in the field matched this perfect metric. Furthermore, the platform stopped 399 of 400 threats in the real-world category. This tie with Kaspersky and Bitdefender represented the highest score in that specific matrix. Crucially, the platform generated zero false alarms on common business software during the Business Security Test. This flawless accuracy met the strict threshold required for official AV-Comparatives certification.

“Security teams are measured against the impossible standard to stop everything, slow nothing, alert only on what matters,” said Mike Nichols, general manager, Security at Elastic. “These results from AV-Comparatives confirm that Elastic meets that standard in independent, unfiltered testing. It achieved the only perfect malware protection score in the field, top-tier real-world coverage, and zero false alarms on the software businesses actually run.”

The native endpoint protection layer known as Elastic Defend powers these record-breaking results. The main architecture unifies endpoint protection, SIEM, threat investigation, incident response, and workflow automation on a single platform. Additionally, the software seamlessly ingests telemetry from third-party tools already present in corporate networks. Organizations can deploy the system in connected, restricted-network, or entirely air-gapped environments. The tool safely distributes critical security updates over internal infrastructure when direct internet access remains unavailable. Finally, centralized policy management, trusted application lists, and custom exceptions allow security teams to tune the platform to unusual internal setups.
