CrowdStrike FalconID Enhances Risk-Aware Identity Security with Zero-Friction MFA

Risk-Aware

CrowdStrike announced the general availability of FalconID, extending the Falcon® platform with zero-friction, phishing-resistant MFA. Identity stands at the forefront of modern cyberattacks, driving demand for stronger, risk-aware authentication security solutions. This release strengthens CrowdStrike’s Next-Gen Identity Security with real-time protection against AI-accelerated phishing and credential abuse. Moreover, the platform uses an intelligent security fabric across the identity lifecycle to eliminate friction and stop breaches.

AI-Accelerated Identity Threats

Adversaries increasingly weaponize AI, dramatically increasing the scale and impact of credential-based cyberattacks. Phishing attacks are now highly believable, and attackers easily bypass conventional MFA protection. Attackers use AI-boosted phishing, MFA fatigue attacks, and session hijacking to target enterprise authentication processes. At the same time, complex MFA solutions cause user friction, and organizations choose to turn off security altogether. Therefore, enterprises require adaptive, real-time risk evaluation that protects access without slowing productivity.

“Traditional MFA is architecturally broken. Disconnected from real-time risk signals, it’s blind to emerging threats, susceptible to MFA bypass attacks, and creates unnecessary friction,” said Elia Zaitsev, chief technology officer at CrowdStrike. “FalconID accelerates CrowdStrike’s identity security transformation, moving organizations beyond isolated, static access controls to continuous, risk-aware protection that stops breaches without slowing the business.”

Unified, Zero-Friction MFA

Traditional IAM and PAM systems were designed to manage access rather than actively prevent security breaches. Despite MFA, these tools function as isolated controls that do not have real-time threat intelligence. FalconID redefines authentication as a seamless, risk-informed experience that is directly integrated into the Falcon sensor. This is delivered through the Falcon for Mobile app, which assesses access based on real-time platform risk signals. FalconID, therefore, identifies safe authentication conditions without requiring unnecessary authentication. The platform eliminates standing privileges and continuously secures endpoint, browser, and cloud interactions. Additionally, it supports passwordless authentication, ITDR, SaaS identity security and CAEP-driven enforcement through SGNL and Seraphic integrations.’
