BearingPoint has officially expanded its artificial intelligence portfolio across Europe. The company launched its new Fully-Owned Sovereign Infrastructure Stack. This solution delivers on-premise and edge infrastructure for generative and agentic AI workloads. Highly regulated industries and public administrations can now deploy secure AI tools. The architecture specifically protects European organizations from critical geopolitical risks. It prevents external shutdowns and arbitrary price changes by international hyperscalers.
The company utilizes its own secure data center in Graz for this rollout. Because of this, all user data remains strictly within Austria. The platform operates within full European jurisdiction to maximize regional compliance. Businesses gain dedicated hardware alongside token-based access to large language models. The platform supports open-weight models, including Llama, Gemma, and Mistral.
Matthias Roeser, Partner and Global Leader Technology at BearingPoint, commented on the market:
“Demand for sovereign AI infrastructure in Europe is growing rapidly.”
Philipp Sturm, Head of IT Infrastructure Services at BearingPoint/Graz, added details about the launch:
“With our fully proprietary Sovereign Infrastructure Stack and our own data center in Graz, we offer clients a platform on which they can run state-of-the-art AI applications in an environment that consistently respects European values, regulations, and security requirements.”
Enterprise Scale and Compliance
The platform offers GDPR compliance along with ISO certification. The customers can request modifications to cater to NIS2 and DORA compliance needs. The organizations could begin with just one rack or edge equipment and then expand modularly into their own sovereign zone.
The solution relies on computer assets using GPUs and fast storage technology. Security features include a zero-trust approach with complete data encryption. The platform integrates directly with GenAIQ to automate generative applications. Target sectors include defense, healthcare, financial services, and public administration.
Tomas Chroust, Head of CoE Modern Data Platforms at BearingPoint, explained their client support system:
“We support our clients from AI strategy through the design and implementation of the infrastructure to the development and operation of concrete use cases with GenAIQ.”
He also highlighted the scaling foundations of the product:
“The new sovereign infrastructure, combined with local large language models and flexible access models, provides the foundation for securely scaling AI initiatives and embedding them in the core business.”
