Axonius, the asset intelligence platform for unified security operations and exposure management, has expanded its AI Asset Management capabilities. The company announced support for AI tools as managed assets within the Axonius Asset Cloud. Initially, the expansion includes an integration with Anthropic. As a result, organizations can discover and manage Claude Enterprise assets while reducing AI-related risks.
AI Asset Management is now a critical priority for security teams. AI tools are being quickly adopted across departments by organizations. But security and IT teams often have trouble maintaining visibility. This leads to security concerns and greater exposure to shadow AI in unmanaged deployments.
Many employees sign up for Claude on their own. They may also deploy the platform on company devices before procurement has been approved. Once deployed, Claude can be integrated with enterprise systems. So organizations need more oversight and governance for the effective utilization of AI.
Axonius Improves Visibility and Governance for AI Assets
To address these challenges, Axonius introduced the Anthropic adapter. The adapter connects directly to the Claude Compliance API. It then imports each Claude Enterprise asset into the Axonius Asset Cloud.
Furthermore, Axonius correlates those assets with existing enterprise resources. These resources include devices, identity provider accounts, installed software, SaaS applications, and both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. As a result, security teams gain a complete view of AI deployments across the environment.
With the Anthropic adapter, organizations can find shadow AI by identifying Claude installations across devices. Reduce the attack surface by applying existing risk assessments to Claude assets.
Organizations can also manage AI tools using their existing operational model for traditional assets. This method reduces oversight requirements while increasing security uniformity.
This integration also improves AI Asset Management by providing organizations with greater visibility into trends of AI adoption. Security teams can also find unmanaged assets and they can act better to emerging risks.
“AI is entering the enterprise faster than any technology we’ve seen, and you can’t govern what you can’t see,” said Joe Diamond, chief executive officer at Axonius. “Our integration with Anthropic lets security and IT teams gain complete visibility and control over how their Claude Enterprise assets are being used across their environment within the Axonius Asset Cloud.”
