Calix SmartHome Expands With ScamWatchIQ and ScamPRO to Combat Fraud

ScamWatchIQ

Calix, Inc. expanded its SmartHome portfolio on the Calix One platform. The company launched two security solutions called ScamWatchIQ and ScamPRO. These tools empower broadband service providers to shield subscribers from online identity theft and digital fraud.

Furthermore, ScamWatchIQ comes integrated directly into SmartHome. It alerts household members about emerging scams and email compromises continuously. Meanwhile, ScamPRO provides premium identity resolution, expert threat validation, and recovery services.

Calix built these services to address rising digital security risks. Recent Federal Trade Commission data shows Americans reported nearly $16 billion in fraud losses. Imposter scams remained the most frequent financial fraud for nine consecutive years. Consequently, deployment of ScamWatchIQ helps broadband providers mitigate these direct subscriber security risks.

The new offerings expand Calix’s existing security suite. Their ProtectIQ network solution already blocks 75 million annual cyber threats. Additional SmartHome features include ExperienceIQ, Bark, and HomeOfficeIQ. Furthermore, providers manage all services via the CommandIQ mobile app.

Andy Hulscher, chief operations officer at Alliance Communications, said: “Our subscribers already rely on us for more than connectivity. Through SmartHome managed services like ProtectIQ, we’ve helped them create safer, more personalized connected experiences while earning greater trust in the communities we serve. We are excited about the potential of solutions like ScamWatchIQ and ScamPRO as possible next steps in that journey, helping address the growing risks of online scams and identity compromise while building on the role we play in the online experiences our subscribers rely on. Our goal is to help customers stay connected and safe while online, and these types of services enable us to provide a level of protection and support capabilities that would be difficult for us to deliver on our own.”

Shane Eleniak, chief product officer at Calix, said: “As online threats increasingly affect subscribers’ daily lives, providers have an opportunity to deepen their relationships by extending their role from the connected home into broader risks that increasingly target subscribers directly. With ScamWatchIQ and ScamPRO, Calix is expanding the SmartHome portfolio so providers can continue to deliver security-focused experiences that differentiate their brands, grow revenue, and scale new protections through the Calix platform.”

Platform Integration and Growth Benefits

Deploying ScamWatchIQ delivers clear commercial advantages for service providers. Broadband companies increase average revenue per user while curbing customer churn. Moreover, full integration into the AI-native Calix One platform accelerates deployment times. Marketing, support, and operational teams execute AI-driven workflows efficiently.

Consequently, providers differentiate their brands beyond basic internet speeds. Positioning ScamWatchIQ as an essential subscriber service strengthens long-term household trust. Therefore, Calix continues equipping broadband partners with advanced cybersecurity protections.
