World App Debuts Encrypted Chat and Global Payments Super App

World​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌ App launch today is a significant move towards encrypting chats, making payments borderless, & creating digital identities without any limitations. Tools for Humanity unveiled the upgraded app at its San Francisco headquarters. The new World App launch combines secure messaging, cross-border financial tools, and verified human identities into one seamless experience. The World App now serves nearly 40 million users, with close to 20 million holding verified World IDs.

Furthermore, World App was the most popular digital wallet globally in terms of monthly active users in September 2025. The launch is accompanied by World Chat, a private and fully encrypted communication network designed for confidential human interaction. World Chat uses end-to-end encryption to protect conversations and displays unique indicators when participants are verified.

Besides that, users can now send a digital asset to someone or request it from them within the conversation instantly and without any in-app charges. Also, third-party Mini Apps are now available within message threads for games, prediction markets, and financial tools. The updated app extends the reach of global finance through virtual accounts in various countries. People can now get their salaries directly in the World App & can also exchange their money for stablecoins like USDC. Additionally, users can earn up to 18% APY on WLD and 15% on USDC, backed by World ID security features.
