Okta and Palo Alto Networks have deepened their collaboration in a strategic move to strengthen identity protection through AI-powered security integrations. The enhanced partnership introduces new capabilities aimed at helping businesses tackle modern cyber threats by incorporating intelligent automation and real-time identity insights.

Central to this expansion are two key integrations. The first merges Okta Workforce Identity with Palo Alto Networks’ Prisma Access Browser, offering conditional access that restricts entry to SSO (single sign-on) applications through a secure browser environment. This additional security layer supports safer browsing for both managed and unmanaged devices, while enhancing visibility and control for IT teams over SaaS and web app usage.

The second integration brings Okta AI’s Identity Threat Protection into Palo Alto’s Cortex SecOps suite, including Cortex XSIAM and Cortex XDR. This enables security teams to gain a unified view of identity-based risks across the entire digital landscape, with automated threat response features such as session termination, access revocation, and endpoint quarantine.

Stephen Lee, VP of Technology Partnerships at Okta, emphasized the value of this AI-driven alliance: “With Palo Alto Networks, we’re aligning our AI capabilities to reduce tool silos and equip our nearly 2,000 joint customers with deeper threat visibility and more intelligent access control.”

The companies underscored that these advancements support their broader commitment to Zero Trust principles, aiming to deliver secure, frictionless access in hybrid work environments. Pamela Cyr, VP of Technical Partnerships at Palo Alto Networks, highlighted the strategic impact: “These integrations empower customers with unified protection—from secure app access through Prisma to identity threat defense via Cortex.”

Together, Okta and Palo Alto Networks are not just responding to evolving cyber threats—they’re proactively transforming identity security by, as they put it, “fighting AI with AI.”
